| Sandy Carey has been with the law and lobbying firm Galati & Blek since its founding in 1998, following a ten-year career in both governmental relations and law firm administration. |

| Ms. Careys interest in government and politics most recently led her to run for the California state assembly in 2004. However, she began her interest and participation in government during her teens when she worked as a volunteer in local politics. From that time forward, she participated in local community involvement organizations, including a stint as a counselor and tutor for disadvantaged children at an orphanage in Washington, dc. Her skills as a grass-roots organizer and passion for politics led first to a job as the staff volunteer coordinator and later as a political campaign administrator for the presidential campaign of Edmund S. Muskie, and later to staff consultant for political affairs for the american federation of state, county and municipal employees. |

| Ms. Carey was a student of anthropology at George Washington University and psychology at American University in Washington, DC, and is a member of Sacramentos Capitol Network, the California Elected Womens Association, the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Harry S Truman Club, and the California Womens Political Caucus. |

Art Krause
|
| Art Krause is a respected elder among lobbyists in Sacramento, with a lobbying career stretching over three decades. Previous to that, he served in the military. Mr. Krause operates a lobbying firm under his name, Art Krause & Associates. |

| Mr. Krause lobbied for for individuals and organizations to to put legislation on Governor Jerry Brown's desk in 1975 to begin the state licensing of acupuncturists in California. He continued his effort on behalf of the newly licensed profession, including work on the bills that removed the prior diagnosis and referral requirement, and later designated acupuncturists as a primary health care profession. Since then, he has lobbied for various other clients. |
