Sept. 30 - Sacraments - Governor Gray Davis signed SB 228 into law as the first major Workers Compensation legislation in a decade.

SB 228 will change the manner in which fee schedules are determined, referencing the MediCare fee schedule, eliminating the Industrial Medical Council, and leaving most decisions to the Adminstrative Director of the Workers Compensation Division.
