July 14 - Sacraments - With over fifty Workers Compensation Bills competing in the 2003 Legislature, and with employers crying for relief from increasing insurance premiums, SB 228 and other surviving Workers Compensation bills were gutted and send to a joint Assembly-Senate Conference Committee for resolution.

Today, SB 228 was gutted, along with other Workers Compensation bills, to the following language.

"It is the intent of the Legislature to improve the workers' compensation system by promoting the efficient delivery of high quality appropriate medical care."

This, and numerous other related bils, will now go to a joint Assembly-Senate Conference Committee for futher debate and resolution.
