April 10 2003 - After organizing a coalition of professional acupuncturist associations to oppose SB 228, CAOMA requested a meeting with Senator Alarcon at his district office in Van Nuys.

Yesterday, Senate Bill 228 was heard in the Senate Labor and Industrial Relations Committee, where it passed 8 - 0 with a promise from Senator Alarcon to amend the bill, after a number of health care professions voiced concerned about
