June 24, 2005 - Sacramento, CA - Secretary of State reports that former AIMS lobbyist Steve English had terminated lobbying services for AIMS on May 20.

According to official documents filed with California's Secretary of State, registered lobbyist Steve English terminated his lobbying services for AIMS (Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Specialists) on May 20, less than five months after registering to lobby for them. During that short period, AIMS sponsored two bills, AB 1549 (Koretz) and AB 356 (Alarcon). Working independently, AIMS' efforts to pass their legislation this year did not succeed; AB 356 failed passage on its first committee vote, and AB 1549 was stalled and held over until 2006.

Steve English was listed as a lobbyist for AIMS for an ten day period in the spring of 2004, but quickly terminated his lobbying services for AIMS for undisclosed reasons.  According to official records, AIMS did not pay English for purposes of lobbying during 2004, nor did they authorize him to lobby the legislature or any agencies on specific issues for that year.
