July 10, 2005 - San Francisco, CA - Over 500 supporters attended the 30-year celebration of California acupuncturist licensure.

The list of dignitaries was impressive. Leaders of the Legislature attended the event or sent staff to represent them. Leaders of the acupuncturist professional organizations attended the event.

An estimated 540 people turned out for a wonderful banquet lunch with former Governor Jerry Brown, Assemblyman Leland Yee, Assembywoman Judy Chu giving uplifting and positive speeches about the progress the profession has made and of the role CAOMA has played in representing, leading, and unifying the profession. Many other important officials and supporters of California's Licensed Acupuncturist Profession were in attendance.
